Fondue-d again today at grandmas (: They are crazy over it. Hahaha. So it was heading to Cold Storage first to buy fruits. We bought bananas, strawberries, nectarines, apples, pears and jambus. Dad also asked us to buy beef, and we spent SO much time choosing cuz we didnt know what type to get. Zzz.
Headed back to grandmas and started cooking at 6.30. We first marinated the pork that we were gonna grill. It was freezing cuz it just came out from the fridge.
While we were doing that, ah ma went to slice the beef we bought and marinate it.
So, Vic and I started grilling the pork first.
Yawns, it took so so long. Shawn came with a soaked oreo. Crazy.
After cooking all the prok (grandma said not to cook ALL, but oh well) we started on the beef.
I just realized how ex beef is, $17 for just that pathetic lot. Haha. Who cares, dad is paying for it (:
Finished cooking the meat at 8pm?! Oops, a bit long ah but heck. It tasted GREAT! Duh, my fingers marinated them of course it would taste nice. Dinnered quickly cuz everyone wanted fondue.
Hahaha. We pushed all the dish washing to daddy (:
Started by peeling off the skin of most of the fruits. I love using the peeler. Haha, stupid Vic used a knife to peel the apple.
As usual, Shawn was our camera man. I think he knows how to operate my camera already. We took many random funny pictures. I shan’t post them up on blogger, but they are up somewhere else though. Haha. He even took a video of us (:
Then Vic went to prepare the chocs while we were still busy at the kitchen preparing all the fruits.
Then, it was time to EAT!!
Everyone sat and ate lots. Finished everything including the chocs. Hahaha. Then Vic saw my dad’s moustache and wanted to use a tweezer to pluck it out. Zzz. Very lame idea, but I joined in. Haha. Didnt manage to pluck everything due to time, but still we were happy (: Haha. All the roots came out as well, so I guess he doesn’t have to shave that spot for quite some time :P
Then it was a visit to Vic’s hamsters. She named them ‘xiao bao’ and ‘xiao bei’ Zzz Zzz. Very cheena-ish. Haha. Anws, I took a video of them bathing in their sand bath. (too bad I'm too lazy to upload them into youtube) Yes, hamsters do not bathe in water!
Then it was already close to 11pm then I remembered about Jason’s fishing rod. Called him and passed it back to him (: Haha. And I had to walk home cuz I forgot to bring my ez-link card!
