I'm in the mood to post pictures now!!
TUESDAY;
I went tanning. And obviously we took lots of pictures! Mainly of the zoo in Nad's place (:

She was stroling around at the pool area.

Kobe and Sasha.

Kissed by Kobe. I actually wanted to take a pic with him and that's what he did.

Sasha was walking behind us.

We tried real hard to get her to look at the cam!

Another 2 dogs. I noticed I havent took pics of that little one!

Nina has finally grown some fur!!
Soon, it started to pour puppies and kittens!!

So, Kobe went to squeeze in 1 corner.

Nina fell asleep on Nad's comfy bed.

Her dogs fell asleep on her floor. You can see Kenzie squashed up under Nad's pink chair!

Her tortises came out and started walking.

It was dumb enough to go walk in the rain.

I tried to take the heavy rain but failed.

He's my boyfriend! (:
That basically sums up Nadia's Zoo.
After which, it was dinner at Swensens with them.

My best fren.

We were all from NA1/6'01 and NA2/6'02!!
THURSDAY;
I had a trail to The Botanical Gardens. School was ACS (Primary) 3's. Yes, ACS. Sterotypical rich kids that are spoilt rotten. Proven 70% accurate I must say.
When I first got my class, there were boys with sunglasses on and they spoke with a slang. They call their teachers MDM and SIR. You would not hear any singlish or the typical 'cher' which can be heard very commonly among neighbourhood school kids.
They are smart, they have a good command of English and they answer all your questions. BUT, they were complaining about mosquitoes, heat and hot sun, walking too much and the floor being dirty when asked to sit down. YES, all boys and they complain about that. Proven to show that they are rich kids that do not like to walk in the hot sun. A boy named Andrew even told me that he hates plants and doesn't like Botanic Gardens. He’s the boy with the sunglasses and most slang. Haha.
They also wanted and bugged me to bring them to the Evolution Garden which I seriously don't know where it is.
Usually, there will only be 2 adults (2 teachers or 1 teacher and a parent volunteer), but for ACS, there were 4-5 adults per class!
When I brought them near the Frangipani tree, the boys started picking up the flowers. 1 even placed 2 flowers on both sides of his ears! I couldn't resist to take a photo, but the frangipani doesn't look very distinct.

Jun Wei, Karen and I headed back to the office with Gao Weo cuz he cabbed back (: it was noon time so we wanted to eat claypot rice and tom yum at the office’s hawker. Being smart people, we dapow-ed up to the office to enjoy the air con!
But before going down to buy food, we got a bit lame and started doodling on the board. Pictures speak for itself. Not much is needed to be said!

There's a video I took of the process. But, I shall not post it cuz the person who drew it doesnt want anyone to know! Haha.
Claypot rice and tom yum soup is DELICIOUS! Yes, I love them both especially from the stall near the office (:
TODAY;
For the first time I'm going to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve!! I woke up at 4am just to read thru my facil notes cuz it was my first time doing a trail there. I took the first 74 to meet Karen and missed her stop! Then Karen, Jun Wei and I took the first 184 to the reserve to meet Juliana so that we could walk in together.
There were monkeys on our way in! Quite a lot of them. Today was pri 6 kids from "Graffiti" Griffiths Primary School. Haha. Very good students. They paid attention to whatever I told them and remembered it!
The very first question a boy asked me when he got out of the bus was "Teacher, how hard do the monkeys slap people?" Very cute. But sadly, they didn't get to see any monkeys at all.
While waiting for Karen to come back with the other half of her class, I asked them to try to find monkeys. Some of them asked "Are monkeys attracted to potato chips?" he then took the bag of chips out and waved it into the forest hoping a monkey would pop out!
Ok, I just feel like blogging out all the stuff that I told the kids today! I know I'm crazy. Haha. I shall just blog all the interesting facts and not those that are super obvious to us.
1) There was a host tree that has been completely taken over by a Strangling Fig Tree which is a parasitic epiphyte. The whole process takes more than 10yrs. The tree that you see there is a whole strangling fig tree. Even the leaves.
2) "Epiphyte" means on top of another plant where "epi" means on top of "phyte" means plant.
3) Wild yam plants have super duper huge leaves like elephant ears. The yam’s cannot be eaten.
4) Another type of banana plant is grown by seeds and not suckers. They have big black seeds in the fruit and can be found naturally in Malaysia.
5) Bark of Wild Cinnamon Tree is used as a spice in curry.
6) Fig fruits are called "wu3 hua1 guo3"
7) The flower of a Fish Tail Plam tree tells you how old it is. When the flowers reach the ground, the tree will die.
8) Penang Tree. Fruits are called "bing1 lang2" and eaten by drivers in Taiwan. They act as a stimulant to keep them awake. Fruits are green in colour, but stain your teeth and mouth red. Known to cause mouth cancer. Its addictive and a legal drug. Bikini clad girls would sell them on the roads.
9) Orang Aslis are people that live in the forest.
10) Lichens (greenish-grey) are a successful combination of algae (green) and fungus (grey).
Those are the things I've learnt. Hahaha. I did this with no reference what-so-ever. They pay me to learn (: Haha.
Sadly no pictures!! I just felt lazy. Hahaha.
After the trail Dora, Wei Ling, Karen, Serene and I headed to NP for lunch since it's so near. Saw Yi Juan and she started gossiping non-stop!! After that Karen and I joined her friends to gossip more! It was literally 1hr+ of HOT gossip non-stop?!
Then Karen and I headed over to the atrium cuz of the CCA fest and no body approached us! Why don’t we look like freshies?! Haha. We even tried to act blur.
Headed over to sports complex after that to look for Yi Juan again. Hanged around a bit, then left for HOME to SLEEP!!
