Saint Andrews Junior School 2 Day Camp!
Day 1
Reported at 7.30am and the camp started at 8. I got my class- a mixture of 4/1 and 4/2.
I was introducing myself to them.. Yea, they don't look very interested. Haha.
After that we headed down to Botanic Gardens for a trail.
Our bus contained Faezah and I. and NO teachers! Yay! A boy named Christopher then volunteered to tell everyone in the bus a sick joke. Yea, coming out from a pri 4 boy.. So I allowed him cuz there were no teachers (:
We were the first to reach botanics so I took my own sweet time there. Walked around with the kids and they spotted quite a few weird insects. Saw some celebrities there also. I did a few questions with them and wanted to give them a break but they didn't want it! They wanted a long break when I completed everything. So I proceeded to tell them about that teleport tree, but when I got there I couldn't find the tree anymore! I think it died already =P
So, I did like 1 more question with them and wanted to bring them to symphony lake. It was a long walk there and the big field down was sort of tempting. With no teachers in sight, I allowed them to race down the big field! Haha. I’m like so nice.
They were enjoying themselves by the lake by looking at the ducks shit while sitting on top of the thingy that tells the direction. Some of the boys started to tell me jokes. They are real good; they can go on and on like they memorized everything! They even had acronyms of ABCD= a big cow dung and ABCDEFG which I cant remember what it stands for! They were practically entertaining me for the rest of the time.
Although they said they didn't wanna do the questions in the booklet anymore, some still asked me how to do the other questions which I did not go through with them. It's the first time that that has happened! They are good kids (:

We proceeded back to school to have lunch. The kids ate real fast and bugged us constantly to proceed to the next activity. After a long time, we then brought them up to the classes for the maths/science quiz. I did the science quiz with them first. I think they had fun coming up with their group names. I had groups naming themselves "Nth", "2378", "Ho Ho Ho" and "Pro People".
With only 1 marker I had, I made them hunt for it to write the answer on the board. I think they had fun (: Later on, I gave them tangrams to form a shape of a cat while I went around taking pictures!
That was the cat shape I was looking for, but they gave me all sorts of creative ideas!

Entertained them for a while more before going down for their tea break. After which, it was telescience time! Class competing against class. We had a slack job cuz Hadi was doing all the talking and explaining =P After 2 rounds of games, it was time for them to go home and for us to end our day!
YJ, JW and I went down to town to meet Linda & HF for dinner. It was Linda's birthday!

we ordered 3 pizzas and calamari. The pizza's tasted great and the service there was real good too! Yea, why were the pizza's like almost gone right. We forgot to take pics when it was served! And the calamari's all gone already!
After which, we had a small cake for Linda (: and took pictures and chatted till about 10+pm.
Isn't he like the luckiest guy ever? HAHA.
Then YJ, JW and I headed down to Janice's place to stay overnight.
It was our first time there, and after washing up and all we watched some vegetarian documentary that I asked JW to bring along. Yea, the killing of animals and all. Why in the world would I wanna watch right? Cuz I wanted to see if it had any effect on me. But sadly, I'm still eating meat w/o feeling guilty =P
We slept at around 1+, in her bro's room- with YJ and I squeezing on the single bed and JW sleeping on some other thingy. I'm glad I didn't fall flat on my face while sleeping (:
And WE WOKE UP LATE! Some crazy idea by YJ and I before sleeping- to wake up at 5.30am to eat macs. But in the end we woke at 6.45am when we were supposed to reach SAJS at 7.45am. To make things worse, it was raining!
So we cabbed down and reached the school at 8.10am. Oops.
Day 2
It was an easy day to start with. Breakfast followed by the treasure hunt! Where YJ, JW, Hadi, Faezah, Kar Ho and I were guardian angels. We just sat in the canteen waiting for the kids to come approach us. And we took pictures of us wearing our halo =P

Some people fell asleep, while the rest were slacking and being a saddist by deducting a lot of marks from the kids.

After treasure hunt was lunch (: then we decided to not do anymore quizzes so we decided to do telemaths. Then something happened, one of my boys, Nikhil rammed his head into the wall when playing soccer. Gosh, you could literally see a bump on his head. That poor boy, he kept caliming he was alright but in the end his dad came to pick him up.
We started with a couple of games in the hall, then it was down to my most dreaded game of all- money money.
We went to the outdoors to play the game. The kids were supposed to blow away the flour in the container to find coins. Yea, FLOUR! I dread the game cuz I know that in the end they would start throwing flour at the facilitators (I did the feedback forms for another camp before!) and I didn’t wanna get dirty and all ):
So the game ended, and for some reason, YJ and I were their main targets! We were practically running away from the kids. From the chapel all the way back to the hall.
We had more flour than that! you should have seen the state we were in when we were downstairs @ the chapel.
Took more pictures with them in the hall before doing the feedback forms. You can see how we were pushed and shoved by those boys! And the flour they had on themselves too.

Then it was bye bye to all of them!
2 days of camp- $90/day. And such a slack job. I love my job, don't you? HAHA. Okay, we cabbed down office after that so I could get my notes, then headed HOME!
I almost slept for 2 days straight! (:
