IMF- Day 5

Yay. 1/2 of the IMF working days are gone already. Just 5 more to go!

Today was kinda happening. In the morning, there was a Press Conference inside the Press Centre for Mr. Paul Wolfowitz. So, Jessica and I stationed ourselves inside the Press Centre watching the conference take place 'live' on tv. We were also hoping to bump into him when the conference ended cuz we havent see him in person before! Haha.

Too bad, after the conference ended at like 11.30am, he went for a live interview with BBC. So didnt manage to catch him. Haha. Some BBC lady was also rushing to find the Broadcast centre and she was like "I'm going live in 15mins!"

So before our break, we knew there would be another major meeting at room 302. WB President would be there too. So, Jessica and I headed there! There was lunch buffet for the CSOs (protesters)- super easy to identify them cuz their passes were HOT PINK! There were a lot of them lah. But, the meeting was scheduled at 12.30pm (our break time) so we didnt manage to see anything again!

Anws, spent some time during break at level 6 where the offices were. Sat behind room 602 (Plenary Hall). Took pictures of it!

Our Minister Mentor also came today, but we didnt see anything! Heard from level 6 ppl that he was surrounded by bodyguards and security! Haha.

OH! And there was a protest going on today as well!! Again, I didnt see anything but managed to steal some pictures from Karen. It was a silent protest, so nth interesting aye.

And, there were new bodyguards at our level! They were from level 2. Haha. So, more chatting! And, I finally knew whats inside that bag already! SECRET :P Got to know more abt their job and stuff too. They are getting friendlier, taking the initiative to chat with us. Haha.

AND! Some photographer from Nigeria came to talk to us while we were inside the Press Centre. He said he snapped a pic of us and sent it for printing already, which would be available in dunno what mag tmr. Wth. Haha. We shall see tmr. He even asked for our email. And our numbers TWICE.

So, tmr is the start of the new shift. Gotta start duty at 8am!! OH NO!

Okay, pictures pictures!!

The flight of steps behind the Plenary Hall- where we slacked.

There was a hole in the wall you see.

Taken from the hole in the wall. :P

Inside the Plenary Hall!!

1/2 of the flags there.

The other 1/2.

It looks kinda wrong to place that thingy right in the middle of the stage.

The whole stage area. HUGE.

The buffet area that the staff at Suntec were preparing.

They came to visit!

Lastly, photos of the silent protest going on today. Photos courtesy of Karen Low :P
