Just as predicted, I stayed home today (: Woke at 3pm because the air-con guy was coming at 4pm. It rained a hell lot, so its good to stay homeee!
I spent like 2hrs or more filtering out the vegas photos and from 490 photos, I've reduced them to a mere 36 (heavily collaged though) to blog.
LAS VEGAS STUDY TRIP- DAY 6
Seems like I woke up pretty early and had nothing better to do while waiting for YJ to use the bathroom, so I snapped these pictures!
Yeah, our not-so-nice view outside our tiny window ):
So, we had like 2 official visits for the day!
1) To Venetian
2) To Las Vegas Conventions and Visitors Authority (LVCVA)
THE VENETIAN
While waiting for our host to come, we were sitting inside the VIP LOUNGE and obviously snapping photos!
It was like a super cool area okay!
And then, we met our host for the day, canadian guy named Paul Stocker (:
He brought us on a tour around the hotel. But first, he showed us this:
The future model of Venetian called The Palazzo.
So we spent most of our time inside Sands Expo (yes the one that won the bid for Singapore's IR) and being super sleepy and tired I uh, didn't really pay much attention to what he was saying.
I can't really find myself in the photos, and I wasn't really interested in conventions and events :S
Ok I think I just told the whole world how lazy I am. HAHAHA.
So like after walking around the HUGE area seeing meeting rooms, ball rooms, convention space, halls, loading/unloading area and all that nonsense the very kind host showed us some suites upon our request! :D
Venetian's Luxuary Suite (their STANDARD ROOM)
Seriously, I wouldn't mind staying in their STANDARD room because it's like the same as Singapore's 5 star hotel's JUNIOR SUITE! And can you imagine, that's their cheapest room.
Venetian's Prima Suite
They had a bar area, living room so that guests could hold like a mini party there!
Venetian's Renaissance Suite
That's the most expensive suite WE VISITED! If I remember correctly, its USD6,000 per night for this room. It has like a PERSONAL GYM AND SUANA. Its madness. And the view from the window is so nice! Compare that to the hotel that we're living ):
The most expensive suite in Venetian is like USD12,000 per night!
We then headed outdoors to the pool area (:
It was like super windy there and it was COLD!
After touring us around and telling us more about Venetian, it was farewell to him and we has some free time! Oh but before that, he gave us each a booklet on Venetian and its so pretty!
All of us then headed for lunch at the hotel's food court!
Oh I love the fries! And I still have craving for FRIES! THICK FAT FRIES! Anyway, that thingy in the middle is a beeper/vibrator. Like after you order your food, go back and sit down and when the thing vibrates it means your food is ready for collection! Which means you don't have to stand infront of the stall like some idiot doing nothing waiting for your food! :D
And as always, there will be a trip to the TOILET!
NICE and CLASSY!
There was some time free time for us to explore the place a little more..
Love the celings (:
Grand Canal Shoppes!
Random shots everywhere we went!
Then we had to go down to LVCVA for the other official programme. So all of us cabbed because it was off the Strip so we couldn't take the Deuce. And then we saw this while waiting!
Its like hand painted okay! All on the celings!
So, that 4 photos are all that I've got from LVCVA. Because there was like nothing nice to take lah. OOH!! There was this fire department exhibition going on! I was so looking out for HOT guys, but I think I didn't see any. BOO ):
We sat down for some presentation by this really sweet lady (: She gave us an insight of Las Vegas. It was quite interesting.
Oh yes and that marks the last and final official programme for the Las Vegas trip! :D :D :D
We headed down to Freemont Street which is like downtown of the Strip. The highligh of the place was this 'show' on the celings of the whole strip on freemont every 1/2hr. People will just stop and look up where ever they are to watch the show. Haha.
The place is just FULL OF LIGHTS!
YJ and I had Krispy Kreme DOUGHNUTS and boy were they GOOD! But I'm damn disappointed I couldn't find Dunkin Doughnuts and Baskin Robins 31. ):
Our dinner!
There were a lot of buskers there. And strip clubs and topless bars that had free entry. Hmmm...
This guy is THE HOTNESS!! And he is freaking talented! Those paintings, were SPRAYED on by him! Yes, he used only canns of spray to create those beautiful pictures. Yj, Karen and I practically stood there and looked at him create 2 super beautiful pictures. We took a video of him doing it, rather big so I shan't post it. He's down right hot! Ugh.
So that's abt it for our Freemont Street Experience. We headed back to the Strip to explore more hotels!
We wanted to watch the performance outside TI but but, due to windy weather the show was cancelled! HOW UNLUCKY COULD WE GET?!?!? And yeah, it was FREEZING cold that night.
Although it was cold, the volcano outside Mirage was still on!
We were warmed-up by the fire we saw (:
We walked to Bellagio, wanting to see the musical fountain. But, it was cancelled due to the weather too ): @#$@@%!!@ So, we went into the hotel to explore instead!
Another pretty sight of the celing. Glass blown flowers (: And there was some garden display going on too.
Okay, so we got pretty tired already after such a long day. Disappointed about the shows we missed too. BUT BUT BUT!
HAHAHAHAHAH! YAY! :D :D :D We were SO lucky when we were coming out from the hotel, they annouced that the show was gonna start! So we stood outside and waited for like 5mins for the show to begin in the freezing cold weather! And you know what, we couldn't lean against the wall thingy because ppl were already crowding but! the ppl there MADE WAY for us so that we could get a better view! OMG. Yes, the considerate people of America!
But the photos and video we took just doesnt do the fountain justice. Its WAY much better in real life!
I think this is insanely gorgeous (:
Whee! I'm left with like 2 days to blog about! And I spent like 1/2 the day blogging (: At least I had something to do! HAHA.
4hrs of school tmr and hopefully I'll go to town with CW. Haha.
