And finally I've gotten my fingers to type blogger.com (:

For those that don't already know, I have been (still am) sickkkkk.

My whole Bintan trip was sort of wasted. Sighh.

But nonetheless, let me just blog about it.

Bintan Trip (2-5 June)

Okay, so Melvin's dad picked all of us up and then we went to Keppel Country Club for lunch before he drove us all to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal so we could board our ferry to Bintan (:

We brought like a lot of stuff. Mainly FOOD.


We had to sit separately cuz there were limited seats left. Everyone was so kiasu.


55 mins later we reached Bintan but we still had to take a bus down to Bintan Lagoon Resort.

Waited at the reception area for the mini-bus to take us to the villa and we made friends with this other family. They had a cute son that's like 3.5 years old. He is super cute!

Turned out that their villa was just next to ours! =D

So the moment we reached our villa, we started unpacking our food.


The chef (Timon) started packing his kitchen while I went around our villa snapping photos (:





YJ and I took the master bed room (:

While I was busy snapping photos, the chef was already at work cooking our first meal.

We were all very hungry.

After lunch, Timon already started marinating the chicken for our dinner!


And Melvin started mopping the floor.


While the both of us just slacked around and cam-whored :P


Having nothing to do in the villa, we decided to call the buggy to bring us to the main area so we could explore a bit.

Everything there is like so expensive though so we didn't buy anything!

In the end we went to the recreation centre and ended up playing Laser Quest!

It was the guys vs the girls.


And that was our score sheet. The guy's won. But hey, I got the highest points! :D


We were super tired and hot we wanted to jump into the pool so we buggy-ed back to our villa and changed.

There were like empty villas opposite ours that had private pools so we wanted to swim there.

We also saw this thingy in our villa and decided to bring it along with us.


BUT when we found an empty villa, the pool was jet black and we couldn't see a thing. I refused to go in and in the end we just walked back to our villa and played poker and mahjong before sleeping.

Oh. And this is the bubble bath Timon made.

I already woke up with a headache but I still managed to smile and eat breakfast.


And then I went back to sleep. I don't know what the rest did but I think they slacked around and fell asleep too.

And from nowhere, I remember Timon shoving a thermometer in my mouth. 39.2degrees.

Timon cooked lunch(?)


I went back to sleep. In the end the 2 guys went to the nearby town to have a look while YJ accompanied me.

I was like sleeping the whole day lah. They bought Panadol back for me and after popping it in my mouth I went back to sleep again.

Good thing by evening I was feeling better and my temperature dropped, albeit feverish, so we went to the BEACH!




We had to go down this sand thingy and still feeling a bit light-headed I slipped and made a dent. How clumsy.

And then it got dark (yes, that's us).


We found an empty swimming pool that had a lamp post nearby :D

We swam until it was pitch dark and we heard toads croaking and I freaked out. And then maybe because we were making too much noise, the security guard came so we sort of got chased back to our villa.

I then cooked the chicken pieces! Haha. Ok fine. I didn't cook all of them. we took turns cuz we had to bathe.


We had to hang our wet clothes to dry cuz we didn't swim in appropriate swimwear!

Eat!


We cooked too many pieces and had quite a bit of leftovers so we brought a plate to our neighbour!

That's Isacc. He is so cute! He had 2 other cousins but they were like so shy.

I swear I haven't stuck a thermometer in my mouth so many times within 3 days.

I know how to play Mahjong already (somewhat).


And then we switched to playing Texas Holdem, Poker and Blackjack.


Card games were out and they started to prepare to drink while I ate my maggie mee.


And we move on to day 3.


And I am still sick.


Thats why I said we only used our rooms for 1 night. We spent the next 3 nights sleeping in the living room with the mattresses provided :D


Anws. I managed to drag myself out of the house to go to the town area. All 4 of us went (: Took the shuttle bus down but I didn't buy a single thing. We stocked up on eggs though but forgot to buy drinks!

After coming back I KO-ed again. Must be the stupid heat. Mel and YJ took a visit to the beach while Timon stayed back to accompany me.

And at night, the boys took out the float thing to use at another unused swimming pool.

Thats what I had to eat when they ate fried rice. I couldn't taste a single thing.


Timon then cooked steak! Ok I could taste this one! YUMMY.


Medium-rare is the sex.


And I think we played more of Texas Holdem and Poker and watched tv before sleeping (:

Finally, my second visit to the beach!


Thats the closest I got to the sea :(

Okay, so that sums up my whole Bintan trip. No sun-tanning, playing at the beach. :(

I didn't even get to wear my bikini!

Being sick on holiday sucks big time.
