Escaped to Escape last Sat with $4 tix. Haha. 18/03/06 (Sat)
Waking up early on a sat morning kinda sucks. But hey, I’m going all the way to Escape to ‘enjoy’ myself!! Haha. And being super broke, I’m trying very VERY hard to scrimp and save as much as I can so Karen and I (both of us got bus concessions which cost $52!) decided to take the BUS to Escape just to save the $1 something train ride which takes about 1hr.
Left my place and walked all the way to the other bus-stop to take 106. Alighted at Nad’s place and waited for 7. Met Karen on the bus and we took it all the way to Bedok! We passed by town, Kallang, Geylang… … and I can’t remember where already. From there, we then took 17 to Pasir Ris Interchange to meet Janice and Yi juan (they were already there cuz they took the fast MRT!). Then we walked to Escape.
Tickets only cost $4 instead of the freaking expensive $16.50 cuz Janice had some coupons.
Took our “funkey” cards and went inside. Sadly, 4 rides were down for maintenance: Alpha 8, Inverter, Rainbow
and Revolution. Damn, all the fun rides were down! But, we got 4 more tickets so our next visit will be FREE! (but I’m not going back there. Yawns.)
Firstly, we took the Pirate Ship.
It was the best ride there already.
Then we queued for the Wild Wild Wet ride. We took turns so that we cold take photos and videos for each other (ok, the main reason was because we didn’t wanna waste money putting our bags in the locker so we helped each other looked after it).
The queue was totally long and the ride got me totally drenched. After all of us rode it, it was already 1.30pm so we decided to eat our lunch! Being super broke now; Yi Juan and I packed lunch!! Bread and canned tuna! Very filling and healthy and cheap! Unlike the BK fries and OJ hotdogs Karen and Janice bought =P I’m trying very very hard to scrimp and save over here. Hahaha.
Took a few more rides. Basically just 1 more Pirate Ship and Ferris Wheel. While on the wheel, we snapped lots of pictures. Haha. Top view of Escape, the ride wasn’t boring due to our camera’s (:
YJ and Janice went into the Haunted House, then Janice went to sit on the bumper boat (which she queued for almost 1hr?!) So, Karen, YJ and I sat at the shade. Doing nothing, we started cam whoring!! Took lots of lame pictures; and we tried to be ah lian cheenas! =D We did all the cheena poses we could think of!
After waiting so long for Janice to sit on her ride, I was nice enough to take pics of her being a pri 6 kid again. The pics really show that she can blend in with them real well. Haha. Ok, we took pics of us like kids as well.
Getting bored, we decided to leave the place and went to the food court to eat dessert cuz it was FREAKING HOT! I love my Ice Kachang. Stayed till about 6+ and decided to head home to have dinner (SAVE money AGAIN!). Before that, a few more pictures!
As expected, Karen and I took the bus to save money! Yes yes, I am very very broke already. So we took the bus from Escape back to the interchange, then we took 17. Being so so sleepy, both of us dozed off on the bus ride. Then Karen suddenly woke me up and said we missed the bus. Still half asleep, I just pressed the bell and both of us went down while looking at our bus guide book only to realize that Bedok Interchange was 3-4 more stops away!! Not wanting to wait for another bus, I ran all the way infront and flagged for the SAME bus. Haha. So embarrassing. After reaching the interchange, we took 7 back then I took 106 home. Crazy. The bus journey was more than 2hrs!! I reached home at like 8.30pm.
Asked dad to help me buy my sour and spicy noodles for dinner! I love that. =))) I think I can eat that everyday if possible. Hahaha. Then slept like a log. Dead tired.
